Job Description

Job Title:  Production Planner.
Location:  Commutable from Lampeter, Aberaeron, Tregaron, Newcastle Emlyn and Carmarthen.
Salary:  £17-18,000 per annum.
Start Date:  January 2018.
Working Hours:  40 hours per week,  working from Monday to Friday,  04.30 - 13.00.

Production Planning / Forecasting / Planning Management

Our customer from the manufacturing sector is currently seeking an enthusiastic Production Planner to work within their Planning team - reporting to the Planning Manager,  you would be responsible for producing daily production plans,  analysing data,  projections for material needs and the ordering of materials required.

Working within this Production Planner capacity, you will be responsible for the following tasks and responsibilities:
*ensuring planning targets are met within deadlines,  without comprising quality or control of costs.
*producing daily / weekly production plans using current systems.
*amending plans where necessary.
*updating forecast figures on KPI spreadsheets.
*working so that materials are available on a 'just in time basis',  in line with production requirements and fluctuating customer orders.
*supporting the Planning Manager so that stock levels are managed within product life and available storage capacity.
*support the long,  short and immediate term planning of materials and production schedules.
*supporting the Planning Manager to ensure that stock levels are at optimum levels.
*striving for fulfilment of all customer orders achieving 100% supplier service.
*supporting the Department to analyse in-stock trends to promote proactive planning and proactive response to the  customer supply chain.
*work with Sales Department well in advance of availability of surplus stock to avoid last minute sales.

We anticipate that the successful candidate would have some of the following experience and knowledge:
*excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise work effectively to meet deadlines.
*possess strong planning skills,  with the ability to implement processes and procedures and to track progress.
*well developed interpersonal and communication skills.
*high attention to detail.
*working knowledge of Microsoft packages,  in particular Excel.
