Job Title: Network Consultant.
Salary: £40-45,000 per annum, plus excellent benefits package.
Start Date: April / May 2019.

We are currently working alongside one of the largest global technology and business services firms, as they seek to find an experienced Network Consultant to join their Project Services Team here in South Wales. We anticipate that the successful applicant for this exciting new Network Consultant role will be responsible for the following tasks and responsibilities:
*the primary objectives of the role is to implement network changes that achieve a high level of client satisfaction, delivering on time, within budget and to a high standard.
*you will install network and security devices, configure and troubleshoot any issues resulting from changes on commercial and secure clients in their data centres and client sites.
*you will be comfortable working on your own initiative, liaising with change requests to achieve client deadlines and demonstrate client facing, customer service skills.
*this opportunity can offer a career progression pathway towards a Senior Network Engineer role involved with more complex projects and new business transitions, as well as contributing to the network design.
We also believe that the successful applicant will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:
*you will familiar with and demonstrate subject matter expertise in relation to Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Change Control, both in terms of implementation and documentation.
*ideally relevant qualifications and / or commercial experience in relation to the above.
*LAN/WAN / Firewalls / CCNA.
*experienced in Telecommunications implementation.
*advanced Cisco IOS skills & experience.
*you should be able to evidence recent experience of implementing changes on a range of LAN/ WAN and Firewall devices using Change Control processes.
*strong familiarity with a wide range of Firewall vendors (Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, Fortinet, Palo Alto, McAfee).
*strong understanding of TCP/IP, sub-netting, IP address allocation & management.
*strong understanding of ITIL and change management methodology.
*WAN installation / migration experience.
*you will demonstrate a solid grounding in change control, high standards, time self-management and excellent communication skills.
