Job Title:  IT Audit Manager.
Location:  Cardiff.
Salary:  Competitive Package up to £50k p/a, negotiable dependent upon experience.
Start Date:  January / February 2018.

We are currently working alongside a market-leading Financial Services organisation,  as they search for an experienced and proactive IT Audit Manager to join their expanding team.  The company are passionate about their employees and can offer an exceptional opportunity and working environment.

Reporting to the Head of Audit,  the IT Audit Manager will have overall responsibility for managing the internal audits performed on the organisation's IT systems.

The primary duties and responsibilities of this fantastic new opportunity are anticipated to be as follows:
*to assist with the creation of the organisational IT audit programme.
*to review the organisation’s standards and procedures and provide an insight on the impact that non-compliance has on the organisation.
*complete clear concise reports to inform Senior Management on any indications found of any significant non-compliance or inadequate control.
*contribute to improvements in the functioning of the organisation’s risk management and control systems.
*to provide ongoing assurance to the organisation’s risk management and control systems.
*to provide ongoing assurance to the organisation over the level of control relative to risk through a proactive, responsive and reactive approach.
*assist the Head of Internal Audit to provide ongoing assurance to the Audit Committee about the effectiveness and appropriateness of the IT audit programme.
*develop and maintain good communication lines with managers, staff and other institutions.
*keep knowledge up to date on the latest developments within the organisation and the respective IT systems.
*development and mentoring of junior Internal Audit team members.

To prove successful within this fantastic new opportunity,  we anticipate that the successful candidate will have the following skills,  knowledge and experience:
*must have two years commercial experience of working in IT Audit role within a challenging technical environment.
*strong professional qualifications relevant to a challenging role within IT Auditing.
*ability to engage and influence at all levels of the business,  including at Senior Executive level.
*a sound knowledge of recent challenges and developments across the Financial Services sector would be beneficial.
*ability to work under pressure whist retaining accuracy.
