Salary: £20-25,000 per annum, negotiable dependent on experience.

We are searching for a talented and motivated DevOps Engineer to join a growing team in Swansea. Our customer's solutions are built using contemporary technologies and highly-organised production techniques, delivering outstanding solutions for their customers. We are searching for a motivated individual to join the DevOps team, someone with exceptional drive and passion that is looking to develop their knowledge by using the latest technologies. In addition, we are looking for some to help our customer build functional systems that will improve our customer’s experience.
We anticipate that the DevOps Engineer that we are searching for will have with the following skills, knowledge and experience:
*strong analytical, problem solving and logical thinking skills.
*strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
*highly motivated, proactive with a passion for learning new technologies.
*able to work independently, stay focused under pressure and manage incidents professionally.
Ideally the successful applicant will have some of the following experience and knowledge:
*experience as a DevOps Engineer or a similar Software Engineering role.
*experience in Windows and Linux System Administration and Maintenance.
*experience with cloud platforms including scripted deployment.
*experience of containerisation, ideally using Docker.
*experience with version control such as Git.
*experience of deploying to a public cloud, ideally using AWS.
*strong Linux System Administration skills, including shell scripting.
*working knowledge of databases and SQL.
*a BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field (or similar commensurate commercial experience).
Working as part of a talented team, we anticipate that the successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks and responsibilities:
*working on various technical projects to support the company roadmap within the DevOps team.
*system maintenance including security, firmware and software patching.
*system health monitoring, responding to monitoring alerts.
*planning, building and releasing code to various environments.
*acting as a point of escalation for the support team.
*maintain servers and systems and provide technical support to the business and troubleshoot issues with customers.
*identify and improve tools and processes used by the Company to increase productivity and efficiency.
*provide documentation to accompany assigned tasks as requested.
*ensure the company quality standards and core values are met.
